The poetry collection Bridges of Words: Haikus Uniting Cultures from 57 Countries of the World by Australia-based author Esperanza Pretila has been nominated for the Outstanding Creator Awards, following international interest and reader feedback.
The book presents haikus drawn from 57 different countries, with each three-line poem offering a brief, quiet moment of cultural reflection. Rather than aiming to explain or define cultures, the collection focuses on presence and imagery—capturing experiences through minimal yet evocative language.
